The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" confirmed on Sunday that the occupation is using the weapon of starvation and thirst against the people of the Gaza Strip by preventing food, water and medicine, in light of the ongoing genocide for more than a year, as part of implementing the plan of its generals, calling for the formation of an Arab and Islamic alliance to enable the Palestinian people to obtain all their rights.

Osama Hamdan said in a press conference: “The occupation continues to use the weapon of starvation and thirst against our people in the Gaza Strip, and prevents them from food, water, medicine and treatment,” adding, “For more than 50 days, the occupation has prevented the entry of any aid to those besieged in the north, until famine has ravaged our people and families, and our children have died from severe hunger.”

Hamdan continued: “The weapon of starvation that the occupation has been using against our people for more than a year is a tool of brutality in implementing their generals’ plan, and the dirtiest barbaric method that only war criminals and those without conscience and humanity would resort to, and it confirms to the world, time and time again, the truth of this Zionist entity.”

He added: "Because of the lack of the most basic elements of human life, even the wounded and injured in the streets and under the rubble and destroyed buildings, this occupation prevents medical crews, ambulances and civil defense from reaching them, after it destroyed all hospitals and health centers, and this suffering and human tragedy for our people will double and deepen with the arrival of winter."

Hamdan pointed out that, "For the 401st day, the chapters of the war of genocide, ethnic cleansing, horrific massacres, starvation and thirst committed by the Zionist occupation against more than two million Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip continue."

He said: "The occupation committed three massacres during the past 24 hours, the last of which was the horrific massacre that targeted two homes in Gaza City and Jabalia al-Balad, during which more than 51 martyrs were killed, half of them children, and more than 164 were wounded and injured."

He added: "The occupation is practicing the most heinous forms of killing, abuse, arrest, torture and displacement against Gaza, and is depriving them of all the elements of human life, and is committing the crime of enforced disappearance against thousands of detainees, in an aggressive war that has no parallel in modern history."

Hamdan called for the formation of an Arab and Islamic alliance to enable the Palestinian people to obtain all their rights, demanding the expulsion of Israeli ambassadors from Arab countries. He said, "Our Arab environment has failed to pressure the enemy to curb its aggression."

He also called for escalating all forms of solidarity and rejection through mass marches and events surrounding the embassies of the occupation and its supporters, appreciating in this context "Spain's position in preventing the docking of ships carrying weapons to Israel," and he also appreciated the positions of the 50 countries led by Turkey, which demanded that the Security Council take steps to prevent the sale of weapons to the Israeli occupation.

He believed that the recent events in Amsterdam confirm that the continuation of the genocide on live television is enough to stir consciences, stressing that the crimes of killing against Palestinians over more than a year "will remain a stigma in the face of supporters and silent ones alike."

The Hamas leader said, "It has been proven to the world that the one obstructing reaching an agreement is the Zionist occupation with American cover," adding that the horrific massacres in Gaza "are being carried out with American support and partnership and from some European countries."
