The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it had bombarded Tel Aviv with a barrage of rockets.
The battalions confirmed that the bombing comes "as part of the ongoing battle of attrition and in response to the Zionist massacres against civilians and the displacement of our people."
The bombing of Tel Aviv coincided with the first anniversary of the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, which was launched by the Palestinian resistance factions on October 7, 2023.
This is the first time that Qassam has bombed Tel Aviv since it bombed this city and its suburbs with two M90 rockets on August 13.

The rocket barrage on Tel Aviv caused a temporary halt to aircraft landing at Ben Gurion Airport, according to Israeli media, which confirmed raising the state of maximum alert with the expectation of more rockets from Gaza.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper considered that the launching of rockets from Khan Yunis, where the occupation army's operations stopped, means that Hamas has rebuilt its strength.
Israeli media said that the army had once again failed to thwart a missile attack it expected from Gaza, and "it seems that it was reviewing its operations in the morning and did not have specific information." It considered that the army's failure to thwart the attack means that Hamas's capabilities in command and control were not undermined.
