An Israeli officer was killed and the Qassam Brigades blew up a tank and a house belonging to the occupation forces in Jabalia

The Israeli occupation army announced today, Sunday, the killing of an officer and the serious injury of 3 soldiers during the battles in the Gaza Strip, where the Palestinian resistance factions fought fierce battles with the occupation forces and carried out complex operations to confront the Israeli incursion.

The Israeli army revealed that a reserve major died of his wounds in the battles north of the Gaza Strip last June, and that another officer and two soldiers were seriously injured during today's battles north of the Strip.

Earlier today, the Israeli army said it had deployed more troops around the Gaza Strip on the eve of the first anniversary of Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

In the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army announced that its forces were surrounding the Jabalia area after an assessment that Hamas was rebuilding its capabilities there after months of fighting and air strikes.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of Hamas - said that its fighters are engaged in fierce battles with the occupation forces in the axes of the incursion north of the Gaza Strip, and blew up a booby-trapped house in an Israeli force of 10 soldiers, killing and wounding them west of Jabalia camp.

The Brigades added that they detonated a highly explosive device in a "Zionist" Merkava 4 tank, which was surrounded by a number of soldiers, east of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam also said that it detonated ground bombs in an Israeli armored personnel carrier and two D9 bulldozers in the northwestern areas of Gaza City.

The Brigades added that they targeted an Israeli force with an anti-personnel shell while it was trying to transport dead and wounded soldiers.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, said that its fighters, in cooperation with the Al-Qassam Brigades, had sniped an Israeli soldier east of the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds Brigades added that it bombed Ashkelon and the Gaza envelope settlements with a barrage of rockets.

The Brigades explained that its fighters targeted the command and control room of the Israeli army that had penetrated Jabalia camp with two TPG shells.

For its part, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades said that its fighters are fighting fierce battles alongside Palestinian resistance factions with Israeli forces on the axes of penetration north of the Gaza Strip.
