The occupation army admits that a soldier was killed and 12 were injured, some of them seriously, in an explosive device explosion in Gaza

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement - said that its fighters are engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers who have penetrated south of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

Saraya Al-Quds added that during the confrontations in the Zeitoun neighborhood, it bombed the Israeli soldiers and their vehicles with mortar shells. Saraya Al-Quds also announced the bombing of "Ashdod", "Ashkelon" and the Zionist settlements in the Gaza envelope with rocket barrages.

In another statement, Al-Qassam announced that it had targeted yesterday - with an anti-personnel shell - an Israeli force stationed inside Kamal Adwan School in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah, and then clashed with its members from zero distance, killing and wounding them.

Security incident

The Israeli website "Hadashot Hamot" reported that a "difficult security incident" had occurred in Gaza, and indicated news that the army had been ambushed.

Al-Aqsa TV, a Palestinian satellite channel, quoted local sources as saying that an Israeli army force had fallen into an ambush in the Zeitoun neighborhood, noting that military helicopters had landed in the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City, to transport dead and wounded.

In total, the number of Israeli soldiers killed since the outbreak of the war on October 7 has reached 696 officers and soldiers, including 333 in ground battles in Gaza since the 27th of the same month, according to official data published by the occupation army, while the number of wounded soldiers has reached 4,357, including 2,232 in ground battles, and among them, 645 soldiers are seriously injured.
