The Palestinian resistance bombed the city of Ashkelon in the Gaza Strip and Israeli military fortifications in the Netzarim axis in the middle of the Strip. In return, the Israeli occupation army organized a press tour of tunnels that it said belonged to the Qassam Brigades in Rafah.

The New York Times reviewed documents of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) that were seized by Israeli forces during their battles in the Gaza Strip. The documents show Hamas’ strategy of fighting in tunnels during its battles.

Retired Israeli General Yitzhak Brick said in an article for Haaretz that the insistence of some in Benjamin Netanyahu’s government on continuing this losing war, and their belief that a ceasefire means defeat and surrender, is a danger to Israel and not to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

The Israeli occupation army admitted that one soldier was killed and 12 were injured in battles in the central Gaza Strip, hours after the resistance factions announced that they had killed and injured Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City and in the city of Rafah.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, in cooperation with the Al-Quds Brigades, announced on Monday the implementation of the martyrdom operation that took place yesterday evening, Sunday, in Tel Aviv.

Regional analysts and observers in contact with Hamas leaders believe that the movement's setbacks provide Israel with a short-term victory, but not long-term strategic success.
