The Israeli occupation army admits that 4 soldiers were killed and 6 others were injured in the Gaza battles

The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that 4 soldiers were killed and 6 were injured in ground battles in the Gaza Strip, which witnessed the death of the first female soldier in operational activity since the beginning of a war that is approaching the completion of its first year.

The army said in a statement: In a battle in the southern Gaza Strip, Captain Daniel Maimon Toav, 23, deputy company commander in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade, Sergeant Agam Naim, 20, a medic in the 52nd Battalion, Sergeant Amit Bakri, 21, of the Shaked Battalion, and Sergeant Dotan Shimon, 21, of the same battalion, were killed.

He added that in the same battle, an officer and two soldiers were seriously injured and two soldiers were moderately injured.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority (official), the soldiers were killed and injured by an explosive device explosion in a building in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah.

She explained that "the military force entered the building as part of the survey operations it carried out in the area, and after entering, the booby-trapped building exploded."

"Before entering the building, procedures were activated to detect explosives, but they failed to detect that it was booby-trapped," according to the authority.

She added: "The army is still investigating the mechanism of the explosion and is working to locate the militants behind the operation."

"Agam Naim is the first female soldier to fall (be killed) in Gaza during operational activity," she said.

The Israeli army also announced that an officer in the Givati patrol was "seriously wounded" during another battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Broadcasting Authority reported that the battle took place in Rafah, where Palestinian fighters fired an RPG shell at a vehicle belonging to the patrol soldiers.

According to Israeli army data, 713 soldiers and officers have been killed since the beginning of the war on October 7, including 346 in the ground battles that began on the 27th of the same month.

While 4,448 soldiers and officers have been injured since the beginning of the war, including 2,282 in ground battles, according to the army, which faces local accusations of concealing a larger toll of its human and material losses.

With American support, Israel's war on Gaza resulted in more than 136,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children.
