The war of extermination in northern Gaza.. Civil Defense: Our work has stopped completely and the situation is catastrophic

The Civil Defense Authority in the Gaza Strip announced, on Wednesday evening, that it had completely stopped its work in the northern governorate, after the Israeli army arrested 5 of its members, directly targeted 3 others, and bombed the only firefighting vehicle.

The Civil Defense said in a statement: “Our work has completely stopped in the North Governorate, and the situation has become catastrophic there, and the citizens there are now without humanitarian services.”

He added: "The Israeli occupation forces present in the Sheikh Zayed area arrested 5 of our members and took them to an unknown location."

The Civil Defense stated that "Israeli military vehicles targeted the only firefighting vehicle in the northern Gaza Strip with their shells, setting it on fire."

He confirmed that contact had been lost with “3 of our members who were targeted by an Israeli drone (hours ago) in the Beit Lahia project, and the agency does not know their fate.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the Civil Defense announced that three of its members were injured by a missile fired by an Israeli drone at them in the Beit Lahia project, after they were warned via a quadcopter drone to forcibly evacuate and head to the “Sheikh Zayed” area, noting that the Israeli army surrounded the displaced people in Sheikh Zayed and detained them.

The Israeli bombing of various areas in the northern Gaza Strip continues, while the army continues its efforts to empty the area of its residents through forced evacuation and displacement.

On October 5, the Israeli army began unprecedented bombing of the Jabalia camp and town and large areas in the northern Gaza Strip, before announcing the start of its invasion the next day under the pretext of “preventing Hamas from regaining its strength in the region,” while the Palestinians say that Israel wants to occupy the region and displace its residents.

With American support, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 143,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Tel Aviv continues this war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
