Moroccan Real Madrid player Ibrahim Diaz gave his country a last-gasp victory over host Lesotho, with a goal to nil, on Monday, in the second round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Morocco.

The match was held at the “Adrar” stadium in the Moroccan city of Agadir, for the second group, noting that Lesotho is the host party.

The only goal of the match for the “Atlas Lions” came in the 90+3 minute by player Ibrahim Diaz after a perfect shot that he put into Lesotho’s net.

The Moroccan team tops the overall standings of the group's teams with six points, while Lesotho is in last place with no points.

It is noteworthy that the Moroccan national team will face the Central African Republic on October 7 and 15 at the Stade d'Honneur in Oujda, in the third and fourth rounds of the tournament qualifiers.

In Group Six, the Sudanese national team suffered its first loss against the host, the Angolan national team, by two goals to one.

The home side took the lead from a penalty kick in the 51st minute through Mabululu, and Mustafa Karshom equalised for Sudan in the 55th minute, but Randy Ntika snatched the winning goal for Angola in the 81st minute.

Angola topped the group with 6 points, while Sudan's tally froze at 3 points in second place, benefiting from the 1-1 draw between Niger and Ghana in the same round.
