The son of the expert in humanitarian work, who was kidnapped in the prisons of the Houthi terrorist militia (Ahmed Ali Al-Yamani), revealed the details of the militia storming their house and kidnapping his father, on the morning of his sister’s wedding in the capital, Sana’a, on June 6.

Khaled Al-Yamani said, in blog posts on the At seven in the morning, they were fully armed, with female police officers.

He added: "My father and the rest of the family were quickly interrogated, and they seized my father's personal belongings, including his certificates and available documents, as well as his personal car and all electronic devices, including tracking devices for my brothers and my mother."

Al-Yamani explained that his family is now "living in a state of mourning after they were supposed to be in a state of joy."

He pointed out that since his father was detained, all parties in Sanaa have been contacted, but they were not allowed to visit him or check on him, or even contact him to know his health and physical condition.

The young man, Khaled Al-Yamani, confirmed that his father “is a civilian who spent most of his life in humanitarian, service, and development work, and he had a major role in providing assistance to people everywhere and with whomever he worked with,” appealing to the militia authorities to lift the injustice against them and release his father.

The Houthi militia had kidnapped the humanitarian expert (Ahmed Al-Yamani), as part of a widespread kidnapping campaign that affected dozens of employees of humanitarian organizations last June.

It is noteworthy that Al-Yemeni had held several positions during his career in relief and humanitarian organizations, including the Danish Refugee Council, the German Foundation for International Cooperation ( GIZ ), Oxfam, and the Canadian Fund, and his last work was in March 2022, with the “Direct Aid” organization.
