Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Sheikh Othman Majali, said on Thursday that the Yemenis, who are under the control of the Houthi militia, are waiting for a collective international position to rid them of the Houthi gang of brutality and terrorism.

This came during his meeting at the British House of Commons with members of the council, Ibtisam Mohammed and Afzal Khan, from the Labour Party bloc in the House of Commons, according to the Yemeni News Agency "Saba".

The meeting discussed current developments and ideas that achieve peace, respect the rights of the Yemeni people, and guarantee their freedom and safety, expressing their keenness to work from their positions to strengthen the legal position and international and humanitarian law to protect the innocent.

Majali noted that the Presidential Leadership Council is in favor of peace that achieves security and stability for Yemen and guarantees citizens their rights and freedoms. For this reason, the state has gone to all local, regional and international consultations and meetings to save the Yemeni people from the brutality, dominance and authority of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by Iran.

He said, "Our people from various political components, men, women, children, and those with a voice, including media professionals, businessmen, activists, and employees of embassies and international organizations, who are under the control of the Houthi militia and are missing in prisons, are waiting for all of our positions to free them from the Houthi gang of oppression and terrorism."

He added, "The Houthi gang has made them (the Yemenis) taste the woes and has mortgaged its decision to the Supreme Leader in Tehran and has used Iranian weapons that it smuggles through the port of Hodeidah and its arms in the region, allies of the Iranian enemy, to overpower our defenceless people."
