Solidarity event for the Yemeni community in Türkiye with Sheikh Hamid Al-Ahmar against the US Treasury decisions

The Yemeni community in Turkey organized a solidarity event today, Sunday, in rejection of the US Treasury Department’s decisions against Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, a member of the Yemeni House of Representatives and head of the Parliamentarians for Jerusalem and Palestine Association.

The event was attended by a number of members of the Yemeni community, representatives of Arab and Islamic communities, and scholars. The speakers affirmed their solidarity with Sheikh Hamid Al-Ahmar, and considered the sanctions to be targeting every free voice that defends the issues of the nation and the Palestinian right.

The event concluded with a final statement issued by the solidarity vigil expressing rejection of the sanctions and support for Sheikh Al-Ahmar, in addition to condemning the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
