The terrorist Houthi militia in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen) issued directives to prevent any student celebrations of the glorious September 26 Revolution in the governorate’s schools.

Educational sources said that the Houthi supervisor in Ibb, who is impersonating the governor’s deputy, Abdul Fattah Ghallab, held a meeting yesterday, Tuesday, with the director of the education office, in the training hall of the education office, with the principals of girls’ schools in the city of Ibb, and directed them not to hold any celebrations for the 62nd anniversary of the glorious September 26 Revolution.

The sources added that the directives included preventing schools from being decorated with national flags or holding school radio broadcasts on the occasion.

The sources indicated that Ghallab threatened the directors with punitive measures if they violated these directives or if any information about the meeting was released to the media.

In recent years, the Houthi militia has faced the governorate’s schools’ wide celebrations of the Yemeni revolution anniversary on September 26, and other national holidays, with campaigns of repression and intimidation that targeted a number of educators.

The Houthi directives come in conjunction with early celebrations by the people of the province for the occasion, as many of them raised the national flags on the facades of their homes and national shops, while a large number of activists in the province launched the celebrations on their pages on various social media platforms.
