Documents showed that a minister from the Southern Transitional Council in the legitimate government is delaying the evacuation of a property rented by a citizen in Aden, despite a binding agreement between them.

A document issued by the Commercial Court in Aden indicates that investigation procedures have begun with the Minister of Civil Service of the Transitional Council, Abdul Nasser Ahmed Al-Wali, after a complaint was filed by his opponent, named “Zaid Thabet Ahmed Al-Naqeeb.”

The dispute between the two parties arose after the Minister Governor refused to vacate a property rented by the captain, which the Minister had used to build a restaurant for himself, based on a previous agreement between them that stipulated that the Minister Governor would vacate the rented property unconditionally in May 2024.

The contract between them began in May 2019.

Local sources in Aden said that the minister had refused to vacate the property for six months.

The case opens a wide door to investigating the wealth of senior government officials who exploited it to build their own interests.
