IOM: 23 Yemeni families displaced during the past week

The International Organization for Migration announced the displacement of 23 families during the past week from several Yemeni governorates.
The organization said in its weekly displacement report issued yesterday, Sunday, that its displacement tracking matrix monitored the displacement of 23 families representing (138 individuals) during the period from September 22 to 28.
She added that the displacement cases originated from Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Lahj and Hodeidah, and moved to Marib (11 families), Taiz (10 families) and Hodeidah (2 families).
She explained that 65% of families were displaced due to concerns about safety and security, while 35% of them were displaced for reasons related to economic factors linked to the conflict.
She pointed out that the total number of displaced persons in the country rose during the period from January 1 to September 28, 2024, to 2,725 families (16,350 individuals).
