Yemenia Airlines announces the return of its largest aircraft to service after repairs

Aden: Yemen Youth Net
Yemenia Airways announced that the largest aircraft in its fleet has returned to flying after being repaired.
The company said in a statement published by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that its AFB aircraft, an Airbus A320, will return to flying again, after a halt that lasted more than two months due to a technical fault in one of its engines.
The company explained that returning the plane to service is a translation of the efforts made by the leadership of the Ministry of Transport, and the direct supervision of the leadership of the airline company, despite the difficulties faced by the company in supplying spare parts, especially engines, to Aden due to the high insurance costs.
The company confirmed that the return of the largest aircraft in the Yemenia fleet to flying again will enhance the stability of its activity and the performance of its duty as required, which will reduce the pressure on air traffic in the airports of the liberated governorates.
During the past few months, Yemenia Airlines has faced difficulties in securing regular flights for Yemeni citizens traveling to and from the country, due to the breakdown of one of its planes, and the hijacking of four planes from its fleet by the Houthi militia.
