The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the occupation's aggression on schools housing displaced people in the Gaza Strip is confirmation of the occupation's plan to displace the Palestinian people by committing massacres.

Hamas added in a statement today, Saturday, that the occupation's aggression was renewed on the Abu Hussein School, which houses displaced people in the Jabalia refugee camp, with random artillery shelling, two days after committing a massacre there, in addition to its shelling of another school, west of Gaza City, and the martyrdom of a number of displaced people there.

The movement called on Arab and Islamic countries to assume their responsibilities to stop the Israeli war of extermination, which will have serious repercussions that threaten the peace and security of the region, according to its description.

She considered that "the steadfast Palestinian people's awareness of the goals of these Zionist conspiracies, which are being carried out under the cover of the American administration, will thwart these malicious plans as it thwarted similar ones through a year of steadfastness and resistance."

A Health Ministry official in Gaza reported earlier today that fires broke out in displacement schools in Jabalia camp after they were bombed by the occupation forces and the ongoing siege imposed on the northern Gaza Strip for more than two weeks.

On Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces committed a new massacre in Jabalia camp after bombing Abu Hussein School, which shelters thousands of displaced people, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.

This is accompanied by the occupation's continuation of its siege and raids on the northern Gaza Strip for 15 days, by bombing homes and shelters, and blowing up and destroying entire residential neighborhoods, in addition to preventing the entry of food and water into the area, which has left hundreds of martyrs and wounded in the northern besieged Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said today that 42,519 people have been killed since the beginning of the ongoing aggression on the Strip for more than a year. This toll does not include 33 people who were killed in an Israeli bombardment at night.
