Dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured as a result of Israeli bombing on two schools housing displaced people east of Gaza City, as the Israeli occupation army intensified its raids across the Strip on Thursday, while the Palestinian resistance bombed the Netzarim axis.

The Gaza Civil Defense Service announced that 15 Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured, including children, after Israeli warplanes targeted the “Al-Zahraa” and “Abdul Fattah Hamoud” schools, which shelter displaced people in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The Israeli army has bombed 174 centers to shelter displaced people since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, according to the government media office in the Strip.

Al Jazeera also quoted medical sources as saying that 56 people were martyred as a result of the continuous Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

In the daily statistical report published in the afternoon hours, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported that the toll of the Israeli aggression had risen to 39,699 martyrs and 91,722 wounded.

Hamas: The massacres aim to exterminate and displace

The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" said, "The fascist occupation army's continuation of committing brutal massacres against citizens in displacement and shelter centers, and the bombing carried out by its planes this afternoon (Thursday) on the Al-Zahraa and Abdel Fattah Hammoud schools... is an episode in a series of war crimes." Continuous for 10 months.

The movement considered in a statement that "the terrorist occupation government is committing these massacres with the intention of exterminating, displacing and terrorizing defenseless civilians in Gaza."

The Palestinian movement called on the United Nations and international judicial institutions to "stand up to their responsibilities in the face of these crimes that shame humanity, and work to bring the war criminal leaders of the occupation to justice and hold them accountable for the brutal crimes they committed."

Benzarim and Rafah operations

In the developments in the battles between the resistance and the occupation, the Israeli army said that it was continuing its operations in the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City, and in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that it had bombed with “107” missiles the command and control headquarters of the occupation forces in the Netzarim axis. Today, the Brigades also broadcast scenes that they said showed their bombing of the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip with a missile salvo.

The Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - broadcast scenes of its fighters carrying out an elaborate ambush against Israeli occupation vehicles west of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam explained that the ambush - which it carried out against occupation vehicles in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah - dates back to August 5th.

According to the scenes, a "Merkava" tank was targeted with an "Al-Yassin 105" anti-armor missile, then an Israeli " M113 " troop carrier was targeted with a similar missile, in addition to a guerrilla action device after it was planted by one of Al-Qassam fighters.

The footage showed that the Israeli vehicles were directly targeted and set on fire.

As the battles intensified in the southern Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera broadcast footage documenting the "Al-Farahin 2" ambush, which the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said it had carried out last Monday, when it detonated an explosive device at an Israeli infantry force, killing and wounding its members, according to the Brigades.

Israel has been continuing its war on Gaza with American support for more than 10 months. International experts have described it as genocide, as tens of thousands have been killed, injured and missing, most of them children and women. Entire families have been erased from the civil registry, and nearly 70% of the civilian infrastructure, including homes, schools and hospitals, has been destroyed.
