Taiz messages from its joyful celebrations of the revolution anniversary
Our Writers| 26 September, 2024 - 8:18 AM
No one knows the value of September except those whose tears are mixed with their joys, and who write their feelings like an immortal poem on the mountain tops, on the sidewalks of the streets, and on the shelves of flocks of celebrating cars. There are no passersby today in Taiz, all its streets are celebrating and rejoicing, there is no sound but the revolution, there is no demon but the twenty-sixth, there is no glow but the light coming from the conqueror of the enemies, or rising from the sparks of the guns of the angry in this free city.
On the twenty-sixth anniversary, the debates stop, the grudges end, the dynasties are shackled, and Taiz stands on its feet with the pride of a giant and the strength of a revolutionary, dyed with the colors of the flag, crowned with the glories of the republic, protected by the awareness of its sons, their longing for dignity, their suckling of pride, and their chants that teach the world the alphabet of struggle.
Taiz is the bearer of the project, the lever of the struggle, and the incubator of the legacy of the free. It alone wipes away bleeding wounds, mends cracked walls, and restores the dignity of the father revolutionaries. If fate had wanted to show them the signs of their great deeds for the Yemenis, it would have shown them Taiz; how it defends their values, fights for their beliefs, protects their gains, and redeems their sacrifices with all that is dear and cheap.
Who said that he who lacks something cannot give it? Here is besieged Taiz besieging the dynasty with ideas that carry within them the demise of their project, and disturbing the priesthood with the lights of freedom and torches of dignity, and the revolution of sovereignty that required that the people are the masters, and that the Yemeni person refuses, disdains, and rejects that his neck be subject to a tyrant, or bow his head to an oppressor, or grant his right to a family, or a family, similar to what Al-Zubairi said:
Do you bow your forehead to a tyrant?
Who is he? Who is he from? Who is his father?
Taiz, which was deprived of everything, gave Yemen everything: revolution, unity, and also gave it the ability to stand on the bright side of history, throughout its long history.
Today, September the Father, September 1962, will not be known except by those who lived the memory of this immortal moment in Taiz, in the Cairo Citadel, in Gamal Abdel Nasser Street, in the Brothers’ Roundabout, all the way to the People’s School, and all its large streets and narrow alleys.
This movement, these interactions and reactions are what frighten the local tyrants from this city (Taiz), as well as the external guardians from it, because this captivating and creative demonstration is worthy of sending reassurance that Yemen is still supported by free men, who never cease to defend their historical moments, and in doing so they send multiple messages that Yemen is fine, and September 26 is fine.
I believe that this scene, although it contains celebration and joy, is not devoid of anger and resentment, and an expression of discontent due to the deviation of the compass of the Republican ranks. It is also a reaction to what the Yemenis are experiencing in the areas under the control of the Imamate dynasty, and their deprivation of the right to express themselves, even to rejoice in the anniversary of their great revolution (September). It is as if Taiz is celebrating on behalf of all the deprived and disappointed, and renewing the pledge always and forever to fulfill the goals of the revolution, and to continue to fight its opponents.
Will the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, the national army, and Yemen’s allies receive the messages of these massive national demonstrations in the city of Taiz?
