Portugal beat Croatia 2-1 on Thursday in the first round of Group 1 in the third level of the UEFA Nations League.
Diego Dalot scored the opening goal for Portugal in the 7th minute.
Ronaldo added the second goal in the 34th minute, his 900th goal in his career, when he received a cross from Nuno Mendes and put it directly into the net from close range before falling to the ground, looking emotional after reaching this achievement.
Ronaldo (39 years old) has scored 131 international goals so far, in addition to 450 with Real Madrid, 145 with Manchester United, 101 with Juventus, 68 with his current club Al-Nassr, and five goals with his first club Sporting Lisbon.

After scoring the opening goal for Portugal, Dalot scored Croatia's only goal by mistake in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half.
With this victory, Portugal earned its first three points in the tournament.
Portugal and Croatia play in Group A, which also includes Poland and Scotland.
The Portuguese national team, the champion of the first edition of the European Nations League 2019, aspires to achieve victory in order to reconcile with its fans after the disappointing farewell to the "Euro 2024" championship in the quarter-finals at the hands of France.
