The Yemeni Teachers Club called on all citizens, classes, commercial, industrial, service and other activities not to pay any taxes to the Houthis in the name of supporting the Teachers Fund.

The club said in a tweet on the "X" platform at dawn on Thursday, "We ask every citizen not to pay any amount in the water, electricity, and other bills under the name of the Teacher Fund."

The club stressed its absolute rejection of these taxes in the name of teachers, affirming its absolute rejection of "blackmailing any citizen in the name of teachers under the name of supporting the teacher's fund."

The club accused the Houthi thieves in Sana'a (the club calls them the Sana'a Authority) of stealing that money and filling their pockets with it.

The club said that this statement is to clear its conscience, and to prevent citizens from being robbed in the name of teachers who do not receive anything from it.

The club concluded its position on these levies by mocking the Houthis, saying: “Whoever has taken control of the salary, which is a legitimate right, how can he give what he begs from citizens in the name of the club?!”

The Teachers' Club is organizing a strike for the second year in a row, despite arrests, kidnappings, killings and torture.

The Houthis collect tens of billions annually from all segments of society in the name of the Teacher Support Fund, without any of it reaching the teachers.

This comes as special sources confirmed to "Yemeni Youth Net" that the taxes received in the name of the Teachers Fund go to a special account with the militia to support the so-called Houthi army and missile forces.
