A citizen was injured on Saturday evening by shrapnel from a Houthi terrorist militia shell that targeted a village in the Hays district, south of Al Hudaydah Governorate, western Yemen.

A human rights source confirmed to "Yemeni Youth Net" that a mortar shell was fired by the Houthi militia on Saturday evening at the village of Dubaas, located northeast of the Hais district.

The source added that the citizen, Faisal Amer Ahmed Hassan, was injured by shrapnel from a mortar shell fired by the Houthi militia on the village, which resulted in the amputation of his right hand.

According to the source, the victim was transferred to Hays City Hospital, and then transferred to Al-Khokha Hospital to complete treatment.

This comes in conjunction with the increasing targeting of citizens in the region, in addition to forced displacement operations, of a number of villages south of Al-Jarahi District, and turning them into military sites.
