Body of African migrant found buried in Abyan town

The security services in Abyan Governorate (southern Yemen) announced the discovery of the body of an African man buried in one of the governorate's towns.

Abyan Security Department said yesterday evening that the security services found the body of an African immigrant buried in the Al-Jawf region, west of Lawdar District.

She explained that after investigations, she arrested an accused named (H. S. Kh.) and discovered that he was the one who buried the body.

She pointed out that as a result of the initial investigations with the accused, he stated that the victim had been suffering from an illness and died as a result, and he was buried after contacting his family.

The statement of the Abyan Security Department pointed out that the security services will not be satisfied with these confessions and will continue investigating the incident, which it said was preceded by a similar incident two years ago involving an African expatriate who later turned out to have been killed by a gang that specializes in robbery and looting.
