Aden: Yemen Shabab Net
The Yemeni Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani, considered that the death of the leader of the Houthi militia, Hussein Al-Shaabal, in Iraq, confirms the role of the Iranian-backed militia as a tool for implementing the policies of the Iranian regime and destabilizing security and stability in the region.
Al-Eryani said in blog posts on the The Iraqi Hezbollah, which is internationally classified as a terrorist, highlights the suspicious relationship between the two terrorist entities and their actions as tools to implement the Iranian regime’s destructive policies and achieve its expansionist ambitions in the region.
He added: "The events taking place in the region have clearly revealed the level of involvement of Iran and its arms, led by the Houthi militia, in a plan to spread chaos and terrorism and destabilize security and stability in the region."
He continued that the events confirm "that the war between Yemen and the Yemenis over the past ten years was not with the Houthis, but rather with the Iranian regime and its sectarian arms, and that the Houthis are merely a front for managing the Iranian expansionist project, which is what the Yemeni government warned about early on."
The Yemeni minister expressed his regret at the position of the international community, which he said had clearly sided with the Houthi militia at more than one turn, turned its back on these facts, abandoned its legal responsibilities in supporting the legitimate government and preserving regional and international security and peace, and left the Yemenis to fight their war alone with Iran.
Al-Eryani pointed out that these developments confirm that the Iranian regime and its cross-border sectarian militias have not and will not at any stage pose a real threat to the Israeli entity, and that they are using the issue of Palestine and the tragedy of the Palestinian people as merely a cover for mobilization operations, and a tool to implement their destructive, expansionist policies and threaten the security and stability of countries. Arabic, spreading chaos and terrorism in the region and threatening international interests.
Al-Eryani called for unifying international efforts to confront the systematic terrorism practiced by the Tehran regime, for which the countries and peoples of the region and the world are paying the price, and to force it to adhere to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, international laws, charters and treaties, most notably the principle of non-interference and respect for national sovereignty, and to stop smuggling weapons, experts and fighters to the militia. Al-Houthi is in flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolution (2216).
He also called on the international community to quickly classify the Houthi militia as a “global terrorist organization,” impose sanctions on it by freezing its assets, banning the travel of its leaders, strengthening legal coordination between countries to pursue members of the militia, and individuals and organizations that provide financial or logistical support to it, and strengthening international cooperation in exchanging Intelligence information, combating financing and recruitment, and strengthening surveillance efforts to prevent any financing or logistical activities of the militia.
"Al-Shabal" died from wounds he sustained last Tuesday, in an American raid that targeted a military site for the Iraqi Shiite Hezbollah militia, in the Jurf al-Sakhar area, south of Baghdad.
