Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, said, "There is collusion and cooperation between the terrorist Houthi militias and elements of sabotage and terrorism to destabilize security and stability and target infrastructure and vital economic facilities."
This came in an expanded tribal meeting that included sheikhs and dignitaries of the Wadi Obaida tribes, where Al-Arada stressed the importance of strengthening social cohesion and solidarity, cooperation and steadfastness in the face of challenges, and maintaining the security and stability of the homeland and protecting gains.
During the meeting, a tribal document signed by the senior sheikhs and dignitaries of the Ubaida tribes was delivered, confirming their support for the state in protecting facilities, pursuing wanted persons, and rejecting subversive elements, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, and the Commander of the Third Military Region.
Al-Arada called for "vigilance and solidarity to confront the destructive and terrorist plans and to confront the forces of evil that seek to destroy and undermine social peace in the governorate, and to stand by the military and security establishment."
He praised the unified tribal stance to combat negative phenomena and reject outlaws, stressing the importance of strengthening unity of ranks and the values of tolerance, brotherhood and reconciliation between tribes, resolving tribal disputes and nipping away any plans that attempt to incite sedition.
For his part, Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Sagheer Bin said, "The armed forces and security forces will carry out their constitutional and legal duties to pursue and track down elements outside the law, enhance security and stability, and protect vital facilities."
He added, "Ma'rib Governorate has become a haven for Yemenis and a model for the presence of the state, order and law," according to what was reported by the official Saba news agency.
During the meeting, the sheikhs and dignitaries of the Wadi Obaida tribes affirmed their firm and principled position to support the army and security and stand as one in the face of the terrorist Houthi militias.
They renewed their support for all measures taken by the armed forces and security forces to protect facilities and the interests of the people, according to what the agency reported.
