Yemeni Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haydan confirmed on Saturday that the terrorist operation in Abyan Governorate (southern Yemen) bears the fingerprints of the terrorist Houthi militias in collusion with the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization.
Haidan said in a statement published by the security media, "The sinful and condemned terrorist operation that resulted in the martyrdom of 16 individuals and the injury of a number of others from the Third Support and Reinforcement Brigade in Mudiyah, Abyan Governorate, will only increase the unity, solidarity and determination of the heroes of the security services and their brothers in the armed forces to eradicate terrorism and its organizations with their various names, Houthi, Al-Qaeda, ISIS and its rogue elements."
He added that the terrorist operation bears the fingerprints of the terrorist Houthi militias and their collaboration with the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization, stressing that "this operation will only increase the cohesion and determination of our armed forces and security services in all their formations to eradicate terrorism."
The Minister of Interior also stressed the importance of the cohesion of Yemeni society in the face of terrorism exported by the sponsor of evil in the region, Iran, calling on the regional and international community to condemn all forms of terrorism targeting Yemen and stand by the legitimate government and provide all support to eliminate this scourge that targets society on land and sea.
On Friday evening, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, said, "This sinful and condemned terrorist operation will only increase the unity, cohesion and determination of the heroes of our armed forces in all their formations to eradicate terrorism, its organizations and its rogue elements."
In a statement published by the Armed Forces Media Center, Lieutenant General Al-Daari stressed that our armed forces in Abyan have made and continue to make great sacrifices in their existential war against the forces of evil, terrorism and treachery represented by the terrorist organizations Al-Qaeda and ISIS and the terrorist Houthi militia collaborating with them.
He pointed out that this treacherous operation reflects the extent of the despair and confusion of the remnants of terrorism that received painful blows from the heroes of our brave armed forces, stressing that our armed forces will continue with all steadfastness and strength to track down these remnants to eradicate them and dry up their sources, and deter anyone who dares to tamper with the security and stability of the liberated governorates.
Yesterday, Friday, a car bomb targeted a military barracks of the Southern Transitional Council forces in Mudiyah District, Abyan Governorate, killing and wounding about 32 soldiers. Later, Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack.
