A soldier was killed and seven others were injured on Monday when an explosive device exploded targeting a vehicle belonging to the Transitional Council forces in Abyan Governorate (southern Yemen).
Media and local sources said that an explosive device exploded in a military vehicle belonging to the Transitional Forces at the Kawkab and Muqrin junction, east of Mudiyah District, Abyan Governorate.
The sources added that the incident resulted in the death of a soldier and the injury of 7 others.
The incident comes days after two soldiers were killed and seven others were injured in an ambush targeting a military vehicle in Mudiyah District, which has been witnessing continuous clashes with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda for two years.
