Hadramout Reform calls for thwarting the opportunity for anyone who wants to stir up strife and conflicts in the province

The Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party in Hadhramaut Governorate called on the people of the governorate to thwart the opportunity for anyone who wants to stir up strife and tear apart the social fabric in the governorate.

This came in a statement issued by the party on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the party’s founding, stressing the party’s prominent and clear role in supporting the issues of the nation and the citizen and achieving their aspirations, according to what was reported by the “Al-Islah Net” website, the party’s mouthpiece.

He called on everyone to further cooperate and unite to confront what Yemen in general is suffering from, as a result of the coup against the state and legitimacy in 2014 by the terrorist Houthi militia, and the country’s plunge into sectarian and regional conflicts, which weaken the state and undermine the dignity of the Yemeni people, who are now suffering from a low standard of living, deteriorating services and their collapse.

The statement reviewed what Hadramout Governorate is going through these days, from the deterioration of public services, most notably electricity, fuel shortages and successive price increases, and the rapid and horrific deterioration of the citizen’s life inside the governorate, which the circumstances have piled up on, crushing the middle class of employees, teachers and academics, whose salaries are no longer enough to pay for their children’s food for a few days, in a very dangerous curve where the scope of poverty and need has expanded in an oil governorate that enjoys security and stability, and has very large financial resources, which unfortunately only serve a group of influential people.

In its statement, the Islah Party referred to its repeated calls for rapid intervention to alleviate the suffering of citizens in Hadhramaut in particular and Yemen in general, and the importance of supporting brothers and friends by strengthening the national currency, and creating state institutions to complete the liberation of the remaining kidnapped governorates from the militias, and stopping tampering with and looting the nation’s wealth.

Hadramout Reform renewed its demand for the leadership of the Presidential Council to find a solution to what the governorate is suffering from, and to achieve the aspirations of its people for the most basic necessities of life, including stability in living and services.

In this regard, he stressed the importance of closing ranks, unifying the word, and denying the opportunity to anyone who wants to stir up strife and tear apart the Hadrami social fabric, which may provide opportunities for those lying in wait to plunge the governorate into the quagmire of chaos.

He reviewed the reform process on its thirty-fourth anniversary, stressing that reform, through its process, deepens the principles of democracy and consultation, and opposes the dominance of the individual, family or party over the nation’s resources. For this purpose, he made many great sacrifices, in order to achieve the aspirations of the nation’s people in general.

He pointed out that the birth of the reform movement and its launch carry the aspirations of all the people of Yemen for a dignified life that enjoys security and stability, in the shadow of political pluralism, respect for opinion and other opinions, equal citizenship, and under a national banner that stems from the values and principles of our true Islamic religion, and as an embodiment of the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs in the battles of honor and the fields of heroism who accomplished the September and October revolutions and defeated the imamate, the tyranny of the individual, and the oppressive foreign rule. These revolutions were crowned with the achievement of the cohesion of the Yemeni people, land and people.

Hadramout Reform Party stressed that after this long time, the party has emerged as a strong and steadfast party that struggles and makes sacrifices using all legitimate means to achieve the values of justice, equality and a decent life, far from exclusion and marginalization.

The Hadramout Reform Party congratulated all its members and supporters in Hadramout in particular and the country in general on the anniversary of its founding, appreciating their sacrifices, the strength of their positions, and the trials they endured for the sake of their belief in the justice of their cause and the soundness of their approach.

This comes at a time when the governorates are witnessing demonstrations denouncing the deterioration of services, which has led to a state of division and chaos, amidst a broad social and tribal movement demanding that the people of the governorate be given their share of the wealth.
