A drone launched from Lebanon hit the home of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea on Saturday, causing a large explosion, official sources said.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office said that "a drone was launched from Lebanon and directly hit Benjamin Netanyahu's home in Caesarea."

Israeli media reported that the drone explosion at Netanyahu's home in Caesarea caused a huge noise.

Walla reported that the drone that hit Netanyahu's home in Caesarea exploded despite Israeli military helicopters chasing it the entire time.

Channel 12 quoted a source in Netanyahu's office as saying that the prime minister and his wife were not at their home in Caesarea at the time of the explosion.

The Israeli police closed streets in the city of Caesarea, and prevented the media from approaching the site of the drone's fall.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that the drone flew 70 kilometers from Lebanon and directly hit a building in Caesarea.

This comes amid reports of a large-scale attack by Hezbollah with missiles and drones on several Israeli cities and settlements.
