The head of the Algerian Olympic Committee, Mustafa Braff, said, "A great joy for the Algerian people. Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune immediately congratulated her, and God willing, may God grant us success in what comes next."

American gymnast Sunisa Lee, who won her second consecutive Olympic bronze medal in gymnastics on the same apparatus by scoring 14,800 points, was seen cheering for Tigers throughout her movements.

“I was really targeting third place because I knew I really wanted Kelia (Nimour) to win, just because she’s amazing,” Lee said.

Belgian Nina Drevall, the Tokyo Olympics champion, came in third place, 0.034 points away from the podium.

British gymnast Rebecca Downie's hopes of climbing to the podium were dashed after she fell from the apparatus while trying to perform one of her famous moves. She ranked seventh among eight players in the final.

She returned to completing her movements, succeeded in landing on the mat, and began to smile as she greeted the fans, thus ending her career in the Paris Olympics.
