Barcelona Camp Nou stadium expansion works
Dozens of construction workers at Barcelona's new Camp Nou stadium got into a major brawl, a Catalan police source said on Friday.
The source reported that 6 people were slightly injured after a fight involving 20 to 30 people before it was broken up. The source confirmed that no one was arrested and no one has faced charges so far.
Spanish media reported that some construction workers used wooden planks during the fight, before the officials in charge of the work - who are external contractors appointed by the Catalan club to follow up on the stadium renovation work - intervened to separate those involved in the problem.

The Catalan club had previously pledged to return to its stadium, Camp Nou, before the end of 2024, but has not yet set a date for that.
"The club is working to have the stadium ready to return before the end of the year," club vice president Elena Fort said on Monday.
The new stadium is scheduled to have a capacity of 62,000 spectators, with work to be completed by the start of the 2026-2027 season, with an additional capacity of up to 105,000 spectators.
Since work began in 2023, Barcelona has temporarily moved its home matches to the Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc Hill in the city.
