Women's seminar in Marib
A women's symposium held on Saturday in Ma'rib Governorate discussed the role of Yemeni female journalists in building the new Yemen. The symposium was organized by the Women Journalists for Peace team in cooperation with the Yemeni Development Association.
The symposium, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Abdulrahman Al-Nahari, reviewed four working papers presented by the journalist Jamal Anam, the doctor in the Department of Media at the University of Saba Region, Dr. Yahya Al-Ahmadi, and the media professionals Hajar Al-Hajili and Bushra Al-Mazjaji.
The papers focused on highlighting the struggle role of women in the revolutions of September 26 and October 14, and their contribution to achieving their goals and active participation in construction, development and decision-making since the revolutions until the present stage.
The papers addressed the threats facing the revolution and the Yemeni identity after the return of the remnants of the imamate and colonialism, and their systematic targeting of all the gains of the revolution, the republic, and unity.
She stressed the importance of women's role in confronting this danger until peace is restored to the country, the kidnapped state institutions and their decision are restored, and the new federal Yemen is rebuilt.
The working papers were enriched by constructive discussions by the symposium participants, who all stressed the need to encourage women’s initiatives, organizations and coalitions to contribute to women’s education and qualification to play their role to the fullest extent and contribute to building and developing society and restoring peace throughout the country.
