The Foundation said that the project included providing (95) young men and women with economic empowerment tools, including (55) laptops, (20) sewing machines, and (20) decoration kits.
Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Abdo Ali, praised the vocational and craft training and rehabilitation projects implemented by the Ma'akum Development Foundation, represented by the Teach Me a Profession program for the seventh consecutive year, in training and empowerment, which helps hundreds of young men and women who support their families to be self-reliant and provide sources of income for these families in light of harsh economic and living conditions, stressing that economic empowerment programs and projects contribute effectively to alleviating poverty and unemployment in society.
For his part, the Executive Director of Ma'akum Development, Yasser Al-Fateni, confirmed that the Foundation has completed the training project for these graduates within the Teach Me a Profession 7 project in four fields: graphics and montage, sewing and embroidery, interior decoration, and the International Computer Driving License.
He pointed out that their qualification and training continued for more than two months, with more than (1100) hours of theoretical and practical training, which (42) male trainees and (53) female trainees underwent.
The Foundation pointed out that there is a strong and increasing demand among young people and women to join such vocational training programs, as they have witnessed their direct impact in changing the economic level of families and investing in such opportunities that enhance self-sufficiency and enhance the ability of these families to withstand and recover from the effects of the conflict.
