Ministry of Youth and Sports concludes "Silk Painting" workshop in Aden

A training workshop organized by the Women's Sector of the Ministry of Youth and Sports entitled "Silk Painting" concluded in the interim capital, Aden, today, Saturday. The workshop was implemented by the Arts, Culture and Popular Heritage Foundation, and lasted for 6 days, with the participation of 15 girls.

The workshop, which was held in the center’s hall in Al-Mualla District in Aden, aimed to develop the participants’ skills in this ancient art, highlight its aesthetics and heritage, and enhance interest in the visual arts in general.

The workshop also included a set of practical and theoretical lectures, presented by trainer Abdulrahman Ghaleb, which addressed silk painting methods and how to use various artistic tools and materials.

The Undersecretary of the Women’s Sector at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Nadia Abdullah Al-Akhram, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants and the trainer, expressing her gratitude for the success of this workshop and the benefits it brought to the trainees.

The participants expressed their gratitude to the first supporter of youth and women, Mr. Nayef Al-Bakri, Minister of Youth and Sports, and hoped that he would continue to provide such workshops for women.

In turn, Al-Akhram confirmed the Ministry’s support and interest in such training workshops that work to empower girls, care for young talents, and hone their skills in various creative fields.

For her part, the CEO of the center, Anisa Anis, expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Women’s Sector for their support of the training workshop, stressing that the main goal of the center is to spread the arts, support heritage and cultural development, preserve the cultural and artistic heritage and employ it in public life.
