US military announces destruction of Houthi drone and support vehicle in Yemen

The US military announced on Saturday the destruction of a drone and a support vehicle belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement on the X platform that its forces destroyed, during the past 24 hours, one drone and one support vehicle in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.
"These systems have been shown to pose a clear and imminent threat to US and coalition forces and commercial shipping in the region," she added.
She noted that this action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition and commercial vessels.

In the past 24 hours, US Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces successfully destroyed one Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle and one support vehicle in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen.
