The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Rashad Al-Alimi, held a meeting with the security committee in Taiz Governorate, and also visited a number of battlefronts, at the conclusion of his visit to Taiz, which he began on Tuesday.
The Armed Forces website, September Net, reported that President Al-Alimi, along with council members Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Majli, held a meeting with the security committee in Taiz Governorate on Wednesday, in the presence of the advisor to the President of the Leadership Council for Defense and Security Affairs, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, and the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haydan.
He added that the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and the members of the Council listened to a briefing from the Governor of Taiz, Chairman of the Committee, and the military and security leaders, on the situation in the governorate, the approved plans to develop the performance of the security services, and the support required to enhance their role in protecting public peace and enforcing the rule of law.
During the meeting, Al-Alimi praised the efforts of the members of the armed forces and security forces in Taiz Governorate and their great sacrifices in confronting the attacks of the Houthi militias, which are agents of the Iranian regime, and pursuing and arresting their cells and elements of the terrorist organizations collaborating with them.
In a related context, President Al-Alimi, along with Council members Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Majli, and a number of ministerial, military, and security leaders, made an inspection visit to a number of fighting fronts in Taiz Governorate.
The Chairman of the Leadership Council and the two members of the Council from the site commanders listened to an explanation about the theater of operations and assessments of the situation on the ground on the various fronts.
Al-Alimi praised the high morale of the heroes of the armed forces and the popular resistance in the governorate, and the level of combat readiness, including the growing training and rehabilitation capabilities at all levels.
Late yesterday evening, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, accompanied by members of the Council Abdullah Al-Alimi and Othman Majali, returned to the interim capital, Aden, after a successful visit to Taiz Governorate, during which he met with military and security leaders, political and social components, and popular activities, and laid the foundation stone for dozens of service projects.
