The Yemeni government denied what was revealed by the "Yemen Shabab" channel regarding its position on the recent agreement with the Houthis, and its relationship with the Presidential Leadership Council, stressing that its position on the agreement stems from moral and national responsibility.

The government Saba Agency quoted a responsible government source as deploring what he described as “misleading information being promoted about the position on the UN Special Envoy’s announcement,” which he said was “taken out of moral and national responsibility and taking into account the difficult humanitarian conditions of the Yemeni people in areas... Houthi control.

The source confirmed that what was circulated on some news channels and websites, that the Prime Minister was surprised by the issuance of the welcoming statement on behalf of the government, completely lacks credibility, and that the government is coordinating and integrating with the Presidential Leadership Council on all files.

An official source had confirmed to the Yemen Shabab channel that “Prime Minister Bin Mubarak was surprised by the issuance of a statement on behalf of the government welcoming the recent economic agreement with the Houthis, which was sponsored by the United Nations.”

The source confirmed that “the statement welcoming the agreement on behalf of the government came from the office of the Chairman of the Leadership Council without informing the government in advance,” noting that “the Prime Minister did not take a clear position in support of the bank governor and preferred not to object to the Saudi instructions.”
