Aden: Yemen Youth Net
The Republic of Yemen condemned the killing of two Saudi soldiers and the injury of a third in an attack on the headquarters of the Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Sayun, Hadhramaut Governorate (eastern Yemen), describing it as a "treacherous terrorist attack" and pledging to arrest and hold the perpetrator accountable.
This came in separate statements in the name of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate, monitored by the editor of "Yemen Youth Net."
In a statement published by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, mourned, on his behalf and on behalf of the members of the Council and the government, "the martyrdom of an officer and a non-commissioned officer from the sisterly Saudi forces participating in the forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in a treacherous terrorist attack that also resulted in the injury of an officer from the coalition forces in the city of Seiyun in Hadhramaut Governorate."
The statement said, "The criminal attack committed on Friday evening by one of the soldiers affiliated with the First Military Region forces is a cowardly terrorist act that does not represent the honorable members of the Yemeni Armed Forces who appreciate the great role of the brothers in the forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy and their great sacrifices alongside the Yemeni people, and their aspirations to restore state institutions, alleviate their human suffering, and overthrow the coup of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime."
The statement confirmed the issuance of directives from the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to arrest the perpetrator, conduct investigations into the crime in coordination with the leadership of the joint forces in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, and take the necessary measures at various levels.
The Supreme Commander expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the two martyrs, asking God Almighty to accept them among the righteous martyrs, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
For his part, Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani condemned and denounced in the strongest terms what he described as a "treacherous and cowardly terrorist act" and stressed that this criminal act, which he said was "backed by the forces of terrorism, darkness and backwardness, in a desperate attempt to confuse the cards, divide the ranks, shake our belief in the sanctity of the battle we are fighting, and disturb the serenity and strength of relations and the depth of the fraternal ties that unite the two neighboring and brotherly countries and peoples", does not represent the Yemeni people and does not express their positions or the feelings of friendship and gratitude they hold for their people and brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Eryani stressed in a statement on the X platform, "The state will not stand idly by in the face of this malicious individual act that only serves the enemies of the homeland and those who are lurking for its security and stability, and its relations with its brothers and neighbors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It will work to pursue the perpetrator, uncover the circumstances of the heinous crime and all those behind it, and bring those involved to account so that they receive their just and deterrent punishment."

On Friday evening, informed sources told Yemen Youth Channel that two Saudi soldiers were killed and a third was injured, who were accompanying the Arab coalition representative, as a result of gunfire by a soldier from the 135th Brigade, which is under the command of the First Military Region.
The sources added that the soldier, "Mohammed Saleh Al-Arousi" from the Al-Sharqi area of Hajjah Governorate, began shooting at the escorts while the coalition representative was in the military area, which resulted in the killing of two Saudi soldiers, "Walid Al-Balawi and Mohammed Hussein Mutlaq", and the injury of a third.
According to the sources, the soldier opened fire on the Saudi soldiers while they were jogging inside the region's command camp, and the perpetrator fled.
