Political parties in Taiz call for comprehensive national alignment to defend the republic and appeal to the government to take urgent action to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people (statement)

Today, Monday, the political parties in Taiz Governorate stressed the importance of a comprehensive national alignment against the terrorist Houthi movement and its Imamate project in order to defend the republic and transform Yemen into a state and homeland for all Yemenis.

This came in a statement published by the political parties in Taiz Governorate, coinciding with the 61st anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution, and called on the legitimate government to create models of the state in the areas under its control.

The parties’ statement indicated that “the outbreak of the October 14, 1963 revolution against British colonialism in southern Yemen was not an ordinary or passing event, but rather was and will remain a historical and revolutionary event that embodied the aspirations of the Yemeni people and the struggles of the National Front, the Liberation Front and the Yemeni National Movement in general over decades in order to achieve freedom and national independence in southern Yemen; especially after the Free Officers Organization in northern Yemen in 1962 was able to detonate the September 26 Revolution, which turned Taiz Governorate into a launching pad for practicing revolutionary action on October 14, 1963. On the same revolutionary path that believed in the idea of change in Yemen, the October Revolution authority in southern Yemen offered everything it had in the battle to defend the revolution and the republic in the north against the return of the Imamate in northern Yemen.”

The political parties stressed their awareness of the importance of standing on the path of October and its goals, drawing inspiration from it, and strengthening it until the negatives and plots that were attached to it are overcome with a comprehensive national vision.

The statement added, "The Yemeni people today, as they face the project of backward, reactionary Imamate with high patriotism and conscious responsibility, call on the government to undertake serious work and move quickly to alleviate their suffering and ease the burdens of the heavy cost of living that the citizen bears as a result of the exorbitant inflation, the brutal rise in prices, and the continuous deterioration of the value of the national currency."

She pointed out that "the most important duty today for the state and government, in parallel with confronting the Houthi coup and its terrorism, is to work with all force to reform the living conditions of the citizen, improve his economic and living conditions, and pay salaries on time, considering them the minimum in light of the soaring prices and the deterioration of the value of the national currency."

The parties' statement said: "We do not need to mobilize or remind the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government is undoubtedly more keen and more interactive in confronting the difficult living conditions of citizens. The national duty is for them to proceed together with one responsible spirit, aware of confronting these living conditions, and working side by side on the economic front, fighting corruption, improving and controlling resources, in addition to mobilizing all energies to accomplish the liberation battle, restore the state, and restore the Republic and the September and October revolutions, with attention to supporting the fronts and the guards, and caring for the wounded and the families of the martyrs as a national priority for the stage."

The political parties in Taiz wondered in their statement: "About the strange and suspicious paradox in the position of the international community, which rushed to deal quickly with the measures of the Central Bank of Yemen, and with all force, while its role was completely absent from the terrorist operations carried out by the Houthi militia to disrupt the export of oil, which had a negative impact on the value of the national currency against other currencies, which led to harming the living conditions of citizens in an unbearable way."

The political parties in Taiz reiterated their clear and unwavering position with the legitimate authority against the coup of the terrorist Houthi militia, urging at the same time "the government and the political leadership of the legitimacy to strive diligently to address the economic situation and create state models in the areas under its control. We must not forget to appreciate the positions of the Arab coalition, and at the forefront the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, confident of their economic support and fraternal cooperation in this field and in various aspects until Yemen emerges from the exceptional circumstances imposed on it."

The political parties in Taiz renewed their "congratulations to all the Yemeni people on the Yemeni revolution holidays of September, October and November, and to the political leadership, the government, and all components of society."
