Under the pretext of supporting Hamas.. US sanctions on businessman "Hamid Al-Ahmar" and 9 of his companies

Sheikh Hamid Al-Ahmar
The US Treasury Department has included Hamid Abdullah al-Ahmar, a Yemeni businessman and member of parliament, and three others, along with a number of companies that al-Ahmar runs in several countries, on the sanctions list, on charges of running a network to finance the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The ministry's website said that Al-Ahmar was "one of Hamas's most prominent international supporters and a key member of the movement's secret investment portfolio, which at its peak managed assets worth more than $500 million," according to the ministry.
The website added that "since at least 2013, Al-Ahmar has also been the head of the Hamas-affiliated Al-Quds International Charitable Foundation, based in Lebanon, which the Office of Foreign Assets Control included on the sanctions list in October 2012 for being controlled by Hamas," according to the US Treasury Department.
Al-Ahmar was placed on the sanctions list for allegedly “assisting, sponsoring, or providing financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to, Hamas” or the Al-Quds International Foundation.
A number of companies managed directly or indirectly by Al-Ahmar were also included in the US sanctions list, namely Al-Ahmar Commercial Group, Al-Ahmar Oil Supply and Distribution Company, Sama International Media Company, and Al-Salam Establishment for Trade and General Agencies, and the headquarters of these companies are in Yemen.
The decision also included Saba Trading and Investment Company, based in the Czech Republic, SabaFon International Limited (Outside the Country), based in Lebanon, in addition to SabaTurk Des Ticaret Anonymous Circuit, Vivid Energy Yatirimlay Anonymous Circuit, and Investred Unitime Anonymous Circuit, based in Türkiye.
This announcement came in conjunction with the first anniversary of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, which was carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades, affiliated with Hamas, against the Zionist occupation forces.
Observers considered this American announcement as revealing the collusion between the Americans and the Houthis, as his companies were targeted domestically by the Houthis, and abroad were subject to sanctions by the US Treasury.
