Lahj.. Al-Subaiha tribes gather in front of the Turkish governor’s house, rejecting the STC forces’ storming of the governorate building

Notables, dignitaries and sons of the Subaiha tribes gathered today, Thursday, in front of the house of the governor of Lahj, "Ahmed Abdullah Turki", in support of him, a day after forces affiliated with the Transitional Council stormed the governorate building in southern Yemen.

A tribal source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that the tribal rally supporting the Turkish governor, who belongs to the Subaiha tribes, came in response to the storming of the governorate building by forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council.

He added that the tribes stressed during their meeting at the governor's house the need to hold a sit-in and close the governorate building until the intruders are handed over and the Turkish governor's reputation is restored.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Transitional Forces stormed the new governorate building with military vehicles and soldiers armed with medium and machine guns, and raised the separatist flag over the building, while the Turkish governor was absent.

According to the source, the Turkish governor denounced the incident and decided to seclude himself in his home and refused to go to work at his workplace in the governorate building, until the soldiers who stormed the government headquarters by force of arms were handed over.
