A local official in Taiz reported on Monday that the joint forces were able to liberate new sites from the grip of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia in the Mawiah district, east of Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen.
The director of Mawiah district in Taiz governorate, Abdul Jabbar Al-Sarari, said in a statement to "Yemeni Youth" that the joint forces were able to liberate new areas in the Shokan area, pointing out that they had descended on all Shokan areas and cut off the supply line to the Baher area in the same district.
Al-Sarari pointed out the importance of this military operation, and he also directed an appeal on behalf of the people of Mawiah District to the Presidential Leadership Council, the Minister of Defense, and the Joint Forces to complete the process of liberating the district from the Houthi militias.
He confirmed that there was a large displacement from the Shukan areas, as a result of the random shelling carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia on residential villages, in addition to its expulsion of citizens from their homes and the conversion of lands and residences into military sites.
Yesterday, Sunday, the Giants Forces, the Resistance and the supporting units launched an attack against the Houthi militias and advanced on the Shawkan front after the militias attempted to enter the Ahama area in the Al-Masemir district in Lahj governorate.
According to military sources, the joint forces were able to control the Shokan mountain range and a number of villages in the area during the attack, which resulted in deaths and injuries among the militia, which resorted to mining the roads in an attempt to impede the advance of the forces.
