Aden: Yemen Youth Net
The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate revealed that the health of journalist Fahd Al-Arhabi, who has been kidnapped in the Houthi militia prisons in Amran Governorate (northern Yemen) for about two months, has deteriorated, expressing its fears for his life due to the physical, moral and material harm he has been subjected to.
In a statement, the union expressed its deep concern over the deterioration of the health of journalist Fahd Al-Arhabi, who has been detained by the Security and Intelligence Service in Amran Governorate since August 21 on the background of a publication case.
The union said that the information it has indicates that colleague Al-Arhabi suffers from (severe chest infections, blood, intestinal and joint infections, in addition to ulcers in the stomach, duodenum and colon, and he suffers from prostate and an enlarged heart muscle).
The union demanded that medical care be provided to Al-Arhabi, and expressed its great fear for his life, holding the Houthi group responsible for the deterioration of his health condition after the moral, physical and material harm he suffered, especially after he was transferred from his job and his salaries and entitlements were stopped, which doubled the living suffering of his family and children.
The union expressed its surprise at the intransigence of the security and intelligence apparatus in Amran and its failure to respond to the Public Prosecution’s directive to release the colleague, amid fears of influential figures intervening to keep the colleague in these difficult and illegal circumstances, renewing its demands for his speedy release.
