An Ethiopian immigrant was killed and six others were injured in an internal fight that broke out between them in the Yemeni province of Ma'rib (east of the country).
The security media of the Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday that a fight broke out between Ethiopian immigrants, in which white weapons were used, in Ma'rib Governorate, resulting in the death of one immigrant and the injury of 6 others.
He explained that the victim, who was stabbed several times, is called (Abdul Malik Noura), and his body was transferred to the hospital morgue, while 5 suspects were arrested and detained pending legal proceedings.
The incident came less than a month after a similar incident in Abyan Governorate (southern Yemen), which resulted in the death of one person and the injury of two others.
Every now and then, conflicts between Ethiopian immigrants in Yemen recur, resulting in deaths and injuries. The most prominent of these occurred in Aden in September of last year, when a conflict broke out between the Ethiopian Oromo and Amhara ethnic groups, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.
