Amman.. The Office of the UN Envoy Discusses with Representatives of the Rashad Party the Latest Developments in Yemen

The office of the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, discussed with a delegation from the Rashad Party the latest developments in Yemen and the party's vision for ending the conflict and establishing peace in the country.

The office said in a press release on its social media platforms, Saturday, "The office of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen met on Wednesday with members of the Rashad Party, as part of a series of political dialogues between the office and Yemeni political parties and entities, civil society, women, and other actors."

"During the meeting, the Rashad Party discussed developments in Yemen and the region, and proposed steps towards economic recovery, confidence-building, a ceasefire, and a comprehensive political process," he added.

The office indicated that more bilateral and multilateral meetings are scheduled to be held in the coming weeks, allowing the office to "engage strategically to keep pace with the changing realities and aspirations of Yemenis at all levels," while continuing to work towards de-escalation and focusing on the commitments made by the parties.
