Ma'rib parties stress national unity and work to confront current challenges

Today, Tuesday, the political parties in Ma'rib Governorate held a meeting to address the economic situation and the collapse of the currency. This was their first meeting after some of them announced the suspension of participation.

In the meeting called for by the head of the Yemeni Rashad Party in Ma'rib Governorate, the parties discussed a number of political and economic issues at the local and national levels, especially the deterioration of the economic situation, the decline of the national currency, the rise in prices, and the role of the government in alleviating the suffering of the citizen, who has become in a difficult and unbearable living situation.

The meeting addressed the political process, including the suspension of some parties' activities within the National Alliance.

The attendees agreed on the importance of respecting the convictions of each party, stressing that the current stage requires their diligent work to bring viewpoints closer together and resolve differences, whatever they may be, in order to ensure the unity of the national ranks and fruitful collective work in a way that serves the public interest of the governorate and the country in general, and based on their firm convictions of the importance of the unity of political parties and their cohesion in facing current challenges and their insistence on working to achieve the aspirations of the people of the governorate.

The meeting also approved the continuation of periodic meetings and gatherings, and the establishment of an organized mechanism for political work, including periodic and exceptional meetings, and the taking of decisions related to the political situation in Marib and the country.
