Ibb.. Celebrations of September 26 anniversary continue for the second day in a row

Young men and boys in Ibb governorate continued to light the torch of the September 26 Revolution anniversary for the second day in a row, despite the Houthi militia’s ban on celebrating the revolution anniversary and raising national flags.

Sources told "Yemeni Youth Net", "The youth of Ahiyo city of Ibb continue to burn tires and light the flame of revolution to the sound of patriotic songs this evening, Thursday, despite the Houthi campaign of repression and kidnapping."

Videos circulated by activists on social media show pictures of those celebrations.

The Houthi militia deployed thousands of its members in Ibb Governorate to suppress popular celebrations, which the residents defied and ignited in several areas, villages and directorates, despite the kidnapping of dozens of them.

Despite the large number of kidnappings and arrests that the governorate was subjected to prior to the anniversary, this did not prevent its people from insisting on celebrating early on the eve of the 62nd anniversary, as a number of cities, directorates and villages witnessed remarkable September celebrations.

In the city of Ibb, residents launched fireworks to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, despite the repression, arrests and kidnappings that targeted anyone carrying the national flag or singing national songs. Celebrations spread to many Yemeni villages in the governorate.
