Tens of thousands of Yemenis gathered in the city of Taiz on Monday in a massive rally in support of the Palestinian resistance and to commemorate the first anniversary of Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa.

The march toured the streets of Taiz city (southwest of Yemen) in response to a call issued by political parties, components, and the Popular Committee to Support Palestine.

The demonstrators raised banners, some of which read: “October 7th... confirming that the nation is born with heroism,” “A year after the Al-Aqsa flood, it still plants steadfastness and creates the features of victory,” and “America is a fundamental partner in the extermination of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and the people of Lebanon.”

The participants in the march chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian people and denouncing the massacres of the occupation, including: “God is Great; on the anniversary of October 7”, “The honor of the nation is liberated; on the invasion of October 7”, “September embraced the flood; Taiz and Gaza are two sides of the same coin”, “Palestine is in the line of fire; where are the free rulers”, “Palestine is the most precious cause; the honor of the Arab nation”.

The march statement hailed the amazing heroism that the Palestinian resistance has achieved against the Zionist entity and its allied countries over the course of a year since the dawn of October 7, 2023.

The statement stressed that the struggling Palestinian people, represented by their valiant resistance and their legendary and wonderful steadfastness, are not defending Palestine alone, but rather are defending the Arab and Islamic nation, and are defending human rights and humanity, which are also being destroyed by global Zionism.

The statement condemned the Zionist entity's war of extermination targeting the Palestinian and Lebanese people, and also condemned the positions of the countries that support the Zionist entity and supply it with weapons of mass destruction that kill women and children.

The statement expressed its absolute solidarity with the Palestinian people, stressing that the cause of liberating Palestine is alive in the conscience and spirit of the nation, and cannot be removed by conspiracies or ended by Zionist brutality.

He also called on Arab and Islamic governments to stand firmly with the rights of the Palestinian people and adopt their cause, which is the first Arab cause in all forums, demanding that the international community assume its legal and humanitarian responsibility towards the massacres of genocide being perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.
