US Army: Destroying Houthi missile system in Yemen

The US military announced, on Thursday, the destruction of a missile system belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement on the X platform that its forces had succeeded, during the past 24 hours, in destroying a Houthi missile system in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.
"This system has been shown to pose a clear and imminent threat to US and coalition forces and commercial shipping in the region," she added.
She noted that this action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition and commercial vessels.
