Today, Tuesday, former Prime Minister Haider Al-Attas arrived in the interim capital, Aden, for the first time in about 30 years, accompanied by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi.

According to what was reported by Saba News Agency, "President Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi returned to Aden, accompanied by his advisor, Engineer Haider Abu Bakr Al-Attas," which is a remarkable visit in light of the differences and disagreements that the Presidential Council has been experiencing since its announcement.

In June 2023, Haider Abu Bakr made his first visit to Hadhramaut Governorate, accompanying the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi.

Al-Attas was the first prime minister of the Yemeni government after the declaration of unity between the north and south of the country, on May 22, 1990. He left the country after the war that took place in July 1994.

Al-Attas was the last president of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, from 1986 to 1990, before the declaration of Yemeni unity.
