In a rare phenomenon.. a partial eclipse and a giant moon at the same time

Within days, some areas around the world will witness a partial lunar eclipse and the appearance of the giant moon at the same time.
These moon sightings will be visible across North and South America Tuesday night, and in Africa and Europe Wednesday morning.
A partial lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting its shadow on part of the Moon, making it appear as if it is cutting off part of it.
At the same time, the moon will be closer to Earth than usual, appearing slightly larger in the sky, and appearing as a "supermoon," one of three times it will appear this way this year.
"The moon will be a little bit dim, with a little bit of sunlight blocked," Valerie Rapson, an astronomer at New York University, told The Associated Press.
The Earth, moon and sun line up to show a solar or lunar eclipse anywhere from four to seven times a year, according to NASA.
This will be the second and last lunar eclipse of the year, after a minor eclipse last March.
Last April, a total solar eclipse plunged many cities in North America into darkness.
